Problems with Ads or Other Users
What can I do if I have a problem with an ad?
Click the ‘Report’ button (next to ‘Like’ and ‘Share’) on the ad page. This will make it very clear which advertisement you are talking about.
Why haven't I heard back from a seller?
Many breeders work full-time and have families, so they can’t always respond quickly. However, most inquiries are answered within 24 hours. The breeders are reminded after 48 hours. Following that, non-responses are incorporated into their responsiveness score, which is displayed on their store page. In the event of persistent non-responsiveness, we follow-up with the sellers and may remove them from the site.
Please check your messages page to make sure you didn’t miss any responses due to spam filtering by your email provider.
We recommend sending inquiries to a few sellers on our site as there are thousands of sellers. This answer can be found in the messages section.
Do you allow ads without pictures?
We totally agree that pictures are important. Reptile Room is all about the visual appeal, and why would you buy something that you can’t see. You should request a picture first of all if you are interested in an ad like that.
As a result, ads without pictures are always ranked last in our ranking algorithm. Once you reach ads with pictures, feel free to consider them your last result page. That way, you won’t waste time.
If you want more ads with pictures, that’s not the alternative; it’s just less inventory for you to choose from. It may have been a while since you took pictures during the busy hatching season.
Our opinion is that buyers who are looking for very specific reptiles will be happier to have access to this listing than no listing at all.
We believe ranking penalties are the best solution overall. But let us know if you disagree!
